Moving Communities

Developed and led by Yasmeen Godder dance company, Moving Communities is a movement group addressed for people living with Parkinson’s disease.
Classes held twice a week in Jaffa, Israel offer an exploratory environment where movement challenges turn into opportunities.
People living with Parkinson’s Disease, professional dancers, movement practitioners, and volunteers explore a range of techniques in a multi-generational and mixed-abilities setting.
Practices offered to the group include release-based techniques, contact improvisation, Feldenkrais, Tai-chi, Capoeira, and voice training, among others.
With a focus on exploring, Moving Communities promotes an inclusive approach to wellbeing based on shared trust and a sense of togetherness.
